Alzheimer Blood Test Near

A testing technique that is able to recognize Alzheimer’s disease could be on the way, or at least that is what a number of experts are saying.

This is just one step in a huge initiative going forward to create a way to test for the disease which affects many people all over the world.

Artificial molecules are used in order to search for disease biomarkers. Whether or not the disease is actually recognized depends on a number of factors, including the person’s immune system and its ability to properly identify proteins as well as bacteria.

The professor who is responsible for heading up the initiative named Thomas Kodadek says:

“It’s unclear whether people would want to know a couple of years ahead of time they are going to get Alzheimer’s if they can’t do anything about it. But I can say with some certainty that we will never get a good therapy for Alzheimer’s without early diagnosis.”

Kodadek added that so far the testing is still in the developmental stage, but they are working hard to get it finished as soon as possible.
